We know this kind of document usually reads like it was written by robots, for robots. We've done our best to make this one feel human — because that's the whole point of what we do here. Read it at your own pace. There's no rush.
The person responsible for your data (formally, the Data Controller) is:

If you have any questions, doubts, or requests about your personal data, this is the place to send them. We are real people and we will answer.
One reason only: to send you our musical newsletter — updates on new releases, concerts, and the kind of things that happen when two people make music in a cold room. No promotional spam. No third-party offers. Just letters, as promised.
We only process your data if you have given us your explicit, freely-given, and informed consent — that checkbox you ticked before sending your message. That's it. That is the legal basis (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). No dark patterns. No pre-ticked boxes.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it costs you nothing. More on that below.
Only what you give us: your name (if you shared it) and your email address. That's the whole list.
We do not sell your data. We do not trade it. We do not share it for advertising purposes. Full stop.
The only parties who may technically handle your information are the email service platforms we use to send our newsletters (Data Processors, under a formal data processing agreement). And, if ever required, public authorities — though we'd really rather that never came up.
Until you decide to leave. The moment you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it. No archiving "just in case". No lingering.
Under the GDPR, you have a full set of rights over your personal data. Here's what they mean in plain language:
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at cookies@thisisniu.com. We will respond within the legal timeframe (one calendar month), though usually much sooner.
You have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD):
We genuinely hope it never comes to that. But you should know the option exists.
We also use a small number of analytical cookies to understand how people find this digital garden. You can read the full details in our Cookie Policy.
